So Booth gets a call from this guy, who is a conspiracy blogger, and the next thing you know, this guy is burned to death in his trailer. This has to do with the broader parts of the McNamaras. “In fact, Stephanie McNamara was the Ghost Killer. “This is an unusual investigation, because the dead body…there’s a connection between Wesley Foster, who is the dead person - Booth gets a phone call from him, a mysterious phone call from someone he doesn’t know, who says he wants to talk to him about the McNamaras, who were the people related to the Ghost Killer case,” Deschanel teased. “David and I have some amazing stuff in this episode - he is awesome in it, too,” Deschanel added.Īs for the finale case itself, Boreanz called the body “particularly grotesque,” and Deschanel previewed that it will tie into another recently “closed” investigation. It was a hard, hard shoot to do, and it took a toll on everybody.” There were some days that were kind of rough because we were going through this, and Emily kept it together, but she elevated her game, and I’m so proud of her for that. “This last episode is very emotional, and has some really great arcs in it for her character. “Emily does such an amazing job,” Boreanaz said. ”Īnd as Booth and Brennan deal with the latest bump in the road, Boreanaz and Deschanel each praised the other’s work in their emotional scenes. And I keep saying adjusting, because it will definitely be different. Things will change…and there will be things they have to adjust to. Whether that’s through conspiracy theories or stuff they’ve been hiding from the FBI or the Jeffersonian, it all kind of comes to a head, and it’s pretty detrimental. “I think it’s interesting to see at the end of this run - especially season 9 and this finale - there’s a lot of destructive forces that come upon us, and we find out there’s more to it than meets the eye, and they’ve be working underground for a while. “I think it puts them in a different place,” Boreanaz added. I can’t tell you exactly how it changes things but it will change the dynamic, and kind of everything about them and their work and their relationships.” “There’s a lot going on for Booth and for Brennan…There’s a huge thing that happens at the end of the episode that we’re not going to tell you about now, but it changes everything for a while - not only with Booth and Brennan, between them, but between everything. “There’s a big cliffhanger,” Deschanel teased. She’s a little too intuitive for Brennan.”īONES boss Stephen Nathan has been teasing for months how huge the finale will be, and both Deschanel and Boreanaz backed him up with their previews of “The Recluse in the Recliner.” Brennan respects her, but likes to keep her in line, because she goes off on tangents a bit. That’s kind of an interesting development. “She really rubs Sweets the wrong, but then that attention might turn in a romantic way,” Deschanel noted. Laura Spencer plays the new intern …and she’s kind of an intuitive person, she’s very smart, her intuition comes from experience, but she throws things out, and the episode coming up, she ‘I’m just getting a vibe this was an athlete.’ And then we get evidence that he was an athlete.”Īnd Brennan isn’t the only one thrown by Jessica. “And Brennan is by-the-book and doesn’t appreciate that. “Brennan thinks that the new squintern is very good at her job, but she does not care for the way she guesses about things and makes assumptions,” Deschanel explained. To get fans (even more) excited about the final two hours of the season, BONES stars Emily Deschanel (Brennan) and David Boreanaz (Booth) hopped on a conference call with reporters and shared a bit of what’s to come…īONES is adding yet another squint to the mix in this Monday’s new episode, and as you might expect, there is a bit of tension between the newbie and Brennan. BONES has been off the air for a few weeks, but the show returns this Monday for the first of two brand new episodes (the season finale airs the following week, May 19th).
